Coach Marshall Bio
Coach Mickey Marshall coached in Fayette Country from 1994-2008. During this time he served as an assistant coach at Dunbar and Lafayette High School in Football and Baseball from 1994-2000. In 2000 Coach Marshall was named the Head Baseball Coach at Dunbar High School, as well as continued to be an assistant Football Coach up until the year 2004-- at which time he solely focused on Baseball.

During his coaching tenure he was very fortunate to establish his program as a premier program in high school baseball at the State level as well as the national level. Under Coach Marshall Dunbar reached such rankings as USA Top 25, Baseball America Top 30 and BCA Top 50 programs in High School Baseball, as well as Perfect Game Top 100 High School Programs in the Nation. Also at the State level Coach Marshall's team was always ranked in the top 25, and in 2003 and 2007 was the KY High School Baseball's #1 team in the state winning the State Championship in those years. In 2003 Dunbar finished 41-4. That record ranks them as the team with the most single season victories in the history of KY High School Baseball--- a feat that still stands today. Coach Marshall achieved two District runner-ups, two District Champions, two Semi-State Champions, and two State Championships during his 8 years of being Dunbar's Head Coach.

Some other notable achievement's/award's Coach Marshall is proud of are as follows: 2003 WJMR Coach and Team of the Year, 2003 KY High School Coach of the Year, 2003 BCA District #4 Coach of the Year, 2003 KY NFHS Coach of the Year, 2003 BCA National Coach of the Year semi-finalist, and 2007 KY High School Coach of the Year. Coach Marshall also help 55 players rich their dream of playing College Baseball, as well as experiencing 5 of his past player getting drafted. Coach Marshall was also selected 2002 KY High School East squad o victory. Coach Marshall finished with a career record of 252-47

Coach Marshall presently provides private lessons, as well as clinics to help develop future players/coaches experience. Coach Marshall also continues to coach summer travel baseball where he has added to his list of College baseball signings over the last three years. Over the last three years Coach Marshall has helped 14 players sign scholarship to continue their baseball careers. Coach Marshall continues to live and work in Lexington, and is very accessible to help any and all coaches, player, families with lesson, advice, etc to help direct their child's playing experience.
